That being said, there are some drawbacks to article writing, so let’s discuss them as well.

Some people think that they can write one article and expect to receive thousands of back-links over night. this couldn’t be further from the truth. the key to successful article marketing is consistency and well defined content. The biggest drawback to article marketing is the submission process, it’s tedious and boring. Each time you submit an article to a directory you have to input the same information over and over such as title, author, body-text, summary box and author’s bio box. It’s a pain but it has to be done, otherwise you don’t get any back-links. I’ve tried to do it manually but after a dozen or so times I get punchy. That’s about when you start to think about a submission service.

At one time I thought that all I needed was article submission software to get the job done, but that wasn’t enough because it doesn’t take care of the duplicate article content issue. A good article submission service takes the tedium out of article submitting and automates the process for you.
